Hey there blog-readers!
Today, I'm gonna post about something that frequently happens to me, and that I'm experiencing a lot at this stage in my life.
We're gonna talk about getting discouraged.
Getting discouraged is a pain, and it can happen in many ways. For example, I get discouraged when I watch other people drum, or other people do tricking, because they're always so much better than I am. While I understand that I can't be the best at everything, I just get this "why bother?" feeling in my stomach. Its one of my many blunders and I just can't get over it. It happens consistently, and is the cause of many of my world-famous mood-swings or "roller-coasters".
It also happens with me in terms of friendships, especially with girls.
I get rejected a LOT, often for no particular reason, and it discourages me.
I feel like it's not worth even trying to maintain a friendship with a girl, because I fear in the end the inevitable rejection, and heartbreak on my side but relief on theirs.
This is the thing though - I go from feeling slightly rejected, to majorly rejected.... then I start thinking about all the past rejections, and then I just feel absolutely unloved.
There is this massive spiral effect that happens, where I just drop down and down and down...
I just can't get out of it.
This usually turns around when I pray about it, however. I usually feel better instantly after prayer, if not it just goes slowly uphill from that point...
So pray about getting discouraged... relax, do things you enjoy and that don't require too much skill, and you'll be set :)
Hello! My name is QuantumNinja. This is my land, my domain, the one place where I have control. Here, I place all my ranting. I will explore my inner nerd, experiment with philosophy, post a few of my more artistic creations, and if I get some sort of viewership, perhaps a few debates and discussions.

Genesis | A Greater Being
GENESIS
This is the start of my newest blogging idea.
I've experimented with a few hundred blogs already - but I've been stupid, creating the blogs and forming them around topics that don't last. Phases of my life that come and go, mainly. I decided to change that and actually learn from my mistakes.
Which is why this blog is so incredibly general.
I'll just post whatever comes to mind, and I hope you enjoy.
A GREATER BEING
I thought I'd start this blog off with a sort of philosophical concept - the question that always arises when talking about life - the idea of a greater being, or a "god".
Now, I'm a Christian.
Please don't run away. Give me a chance! I know that many people view Christians as brain-washed morons following a whole heap of rules, in a desperate attempt to provide answers to many of life's questions.
This, however, is not the case.
Firstly, let's explore the notion of 'brain-washed' - this is coupled with the idea that Christians are simply scrambling to provide answers to life's questions.
Traditionally, in order to "brain-wash" somebody, you need to provide them with a question that they cannot answer. The actions that follow generally resemble the actions of a mindless person - blank stares, silence and deep confusion.
This is exactly how riddles work - the riddle is designed to be confusing and unclear, so that the one attempting to solve it has no idea what is going on. This resembles the 'brain-washed' state.
To free them from this state, you simply have to provide them with the answer to the riddle - you will then see them free up, they'll return to normal and have an idea of what is happening.
So, to imply that Christianity is both a brain-washing 'cult' of sorts, and to also imply that Christianity is a desperate attempt to provide answers, makes no sense - you are contradicting yourself in the very same sentence.
Next, we'll have a look at the idea of Christianity on the surface...
I agree with you. The notion of Christianity is... well, it's idiotic.
Our belief is that our world was created by God... that's where we began, but where did God begin?
Well, he didn't. He always was, always is, and always will be.
Which seems really, really stupid... right?
Wrong.
It SEEMS stupid... because we're stupid.
We're all idiots - our minds are puny, compared to that of God's. We cannot understand the concept of 'no beginning' - because we weren't meant to.
So frankly, if I had to choose between the two following ideas/explanations:
A) The world and everything in it, the whole universe (including us as Humans) was the result of an accident. We have no purpose, we are unloved and nothing has meaning. We are simply born to die.
B) The world and everything in it, the whole universe (including us as Humans) was the result of intelligent and artistic design. We have a purpose, we are loved, and our life has meaning. We are born to be loved and to live forever.
I choose B. For good reason.
Not only is it more logical, but it is also a much happier outcome. It is simply a better way to live. Besides, I have had incredible experiences that prove to me beyond doubt that God is real. I have seen angels... I have been given visions that allowed me to see the nature and past of a person with one look... I have seen healing and displays of God's epic love.
To me, it is just proof.
Proof of a Greater Being.
